Really a 3.5 but I'm feeling generous
Came here for weekday lunch with a friend at about 12:45, was seated immediately and brought hot tea and water promptly. We were both back where we needed to be within an hour (including our walk in both directions) as well which is great for a time sensitive lunch. Pro tip: ask for a lunch menu, they don't give it to you unless you ask and it's a great deal.
We split cold sesame noodles off the regular app menu and then ordered the beef and broccoli as well as the chicken with orange flavor as entrees. The entrees come come with rice on the side. The sesame noodles were yummy, the texture of the noodles felt right and I didn't feel like I was just drinking peanut butter which I appreciated, they are served with shredded cucumber on the plate which I've never seen before and sorta enjoyed. The beef with broccoli was just ok, I thought the beef itself tasted a touch liver-y and I felt the sauce was a little underwhelming, I would skip this in the future. The chicken with orange flavor was very tasty though, the plate has tons of baby carrots and other veggies, the chicken was moist and the sauce was flavorful. Although the dish is labeled "spicy" on the menu, and I saw chili's on the plate, I would call this dish a mild medium at best.
Overall this is a solid spot for a quick not very expensive lunch, we came out to under $40 including tip, and had leftover everything. I would return, but probably not until trying a few more places nearby. -

Had friends from out of town. I live there for over 37yrs and never step foot into this place. I was correct not to
Whole peking duck was bucks where other place in the area charges you from 18 to 36.00 for a while duck. The duck didn't look blown up nor the skin was brittle.
We order Pekink duck for 4 people with a choice of two entrees. We chose Orange Chicken and Chicken with Broccoli - They started off with soup that was made days before and it wasn't not much. It was more of a cup vs. a Small cereal bow. The spoon was way too big for that small bowl.
The duck soup made me think whatever duck they chopped up , the left over was made into broth/soup. Not a lot of work and talented involved.
The hot and sour soup was not much to desired. I had better in a Malaysians restaurant down the block.
Next we had a dish of one of the following. a heavy dough dumpling , a smaller than average sprint roll and a piece of beef sautay - they have use two big dishes of plum sauce and soy sauce , the dish looks like a bird bath. for humming birds.
Peking duck came , looked very small for a duck like it was straving at one point. it didn;t look "blown" up like peking should be. The chef cut it up and placed it in front of us.
Now you think when you pay 60.00 they would wrapped it up for each one of you as a service. nope. you are on you own. Expect to make mess.
There was not enough scallion and cucumber slices not wrap, we had to request more. The amount of wrap vs pieces of duck prepared was obvious. The Scallion and Cucumber was not fresh. They didn't smell like you cut them up.
Orange chicken - It was not big enough for 4 people , more like 2. There was more veggies than chicken. and when there was Chicken, it looked like it was per-prepared or frozen that they threw into the wok.
Chicken with Broccoli - Same thing, enough for 2 not for 4 people, it sauce tasted like their dirty water. no flavoring of sorts.
I Really had better from other place like Great Mandarin court, Golden Unicorn restaurant where .there, they cut it up for you and prepared it for you with some style. for 1/2 the price.
Not going back - Tourist Trap !!!! -

Ordered the PEKING duck, it was served with MEXICAN TORTILLAS!
Literally supermarket tortillas. Traditionally, Peking Duck is served with spring pancakes. I'm fine that some places serve it with a mantou (chinese steam bun), but tortilla. The duck was fine, but the carving was subpar, it looked like the duck was hacked.
Service was slow. The check came faster than they refilled our waters. FYI, the staff was just standing around chit chatting while people waited.
If you're looking for that psuedo old school east coast chinese food passed off as moderately priced faux fine dining, then come here. If you want authentic peking duck, keep walking. -

My favorite restaurant in Chinatown. Table clothes, silverware & waiter service. The duck is prepared to table side & it's quite a show, like in Beijing they take real pride in the presentation, ambiance & quality. We share a $60 duck & it's more than enough for 2 of us.
The duck is so sweet & juicy, This skin is crisp to perfection. We've never tried anything else, the duck is the signature dish & it's never disappointed! -

3 years after I wrote my original review, I gave this place another try in hopes of not finding tortillas as their "house made wraps" for the duck. Without surprise, they are still serving thick tortillas! Authentic Chinese Peking duck wraps are very thin, which is a compliment to the ducks. But when you're biting into the tortillas wrap, it just feels like you're eating a burrito or taco since the wrap is very thick.
Overall, I will definitely not return because there is nothing authentic about this place when they are serving out tortillas.
